Doctor suggested for her to be admitted and to receive the photolight treatment. I had already prepared myself mentally before I went to hospital. I was asked to stay with her as well. We were sent to pediatric ward. We were given a room with a single bed for me. They started the treatment for Angel straight away. Her shirt was taken off and she cried alot during the first night as she is not used it. I cried when they took her blood samples. And she is also on drip as her sodium level is high and there is lesser water content in her body. Poor thing!
From Saturday night till Tuesday midnight, she is under the photolight. First reading is 347, 2 lights given. Second, 365, 3 lights given. I started to get scared and sad as well. Then the third reading went down to 280. Then they bring down to one light only. Next reading is 206. This reading is the safe level. On Tuesday midnight, they switched off the light and waited until morning 8am to take her blood sample again. Thank God, the reading is 175 and they let her discharged in the evening.
However, her eyes had infection and were given eye drops and oilment to treat. These few days I did not sleep well, had to constantly feed her and to observe her bowel movements. And I kept on telling myself to be strong. Hubby came to visit me after work and brought me meals. He is not feeling well and yet he supported me throughout the period. I felt better just by lying on his shoulder, and he would just say we are going back home soon!
Just about we discharged, I managed to take a shot of Angel, she looked active and cute!
