God's Gift

I'm expecting!!!! Hurray! I did my PT on 21 March 2009 and it shows perfectly clear positive line. Went to a clinic to reconfirm and it was about 9.4mm. I saw a dot in the ultrasound machine screen, though it's still very very very early, I'm already excited in heart. My husband did not actually saw the screening, and he asked the doc to reconfirm. How pathetic! He doesn't even believe my words!! Guess he is also nervous and excited too.
Things went on well for the following weeks, with the exception that my appetite run haywire. I don't fancy all my favourite food, I always felt a weird taste in my mouth and didn't eat much like what I expected. My meals turned into smaller portion and I always complain that everything I eat wasn't tasty after all. How bad! The only good habit of mine; I always drink at least a cup of milk everyday and a folic acid as my supplement.
On 11 April 2009, I went to see a gynae and he confirmed that I'm now in my 5th week. This time, my husband saw the screening. He actually took the initiative to talk to the doc about my diet and lifestyle. A lot of things to avoid = cabbage, onions, nuts, spicy and oily food. I wouldn't say I totally avoided them all, but I'm trying to. At least I stop eating cabbage and big onions now. I don't fancy nuts that much, so that is not the problem. My problem now is the spicy food. Because of the weird taste in my mouth, I like to solve it with spicy and sour food which is totally unhealthy. I'm trying to stop them bit by bit. I just needed time to adjust my lifestyle.
And now, I'm reaching the 7th week. Still a long way to go. I do not know why, but somehow I find myself talking to the baby everyday. I kept say the same word, Bb, are you growing? Ha ha, I must be mad, curious, anxious, nervous to welcome my Bb. My husband on the other hand is not as anxious as I am. I'm still into housekeeping and washing clothes myself. I reminded myself to walk slow and steady so I wouldn't fall. I'm also into listening to the prayer chanting, kept praying in heart that I would be blessed with a good health in order for the Bb to grow healthy in my womb.
And the best thing of all, if the date calculation is correct, I'll be having a December baby. Remember I always say that I love December the most, until the baby is out, I can happily add in another important day then.

My very own personal gadget

My husband and I never failed to miss any of the PC fair throughout the years. And this round, 12 April 2009, right at the very last minute of the last day, something caught my eye. It's the HP Pavillion Touchsmart TX2-1115AU. I have been eyeing this laptop before, simply bcoz it's small, light and comes with touch screen facilities. And this model turns out to be the improved version of the previous model. We went to several booths, all with the same price, but different free gifts. The one that I picked gives us the following:-

1) Laptop backpack
2) Mouse
3) Keyboard protector
4) Laptop lock
5) Cooling pad
6) 2Gb Kingston pendrive
7) HP DVD-R

With my new gadget, I get to do my own work without the need to use my husband's PC. I get to have my personal space here. Somehow with the touch screen facility, someday I'll teach my kids how to write and read. Ha ha!!!!
