Goods news to share

After leaving the blog for almost 20 months, I am finally back on track again! Too many stories left untold previously, partially hook up with parenting, working and also half of me lazy to pen down words here. Kye Xin will soon turn three years old this coming Saturday, what a great achievement I've made so far. Work had been slowly turning into new challenges with the recent job scope change I had couple of months ago. Hubby is busy always working shifts and it affects me now that I am officially expecting my second child. Yes, you did not hear it wrongly, I am now shouting out loud to say I AM PREGNANT! Hmmm, it came unexpectedly, especially after not being able to conceive despite numerous attempts. And hubby also did not know how to react, thinking this wife of his must have lying again.
We waited for another week before we went to my gynae to confirm. Yes, it is a sign of a baby growing, we can even see the heart pounding in the first ultrasound scan. It was about 5 weeks old. In my heart, I thanked God for reading my prayers. My coming weeks were a nightmare. I had this serious headache and sometimes it prolongs till the whole day. But I tell you, this child is smart, I'll only feel unwell after my working hours, ie. after work and weekends. He/She is telling me, I better be even more hardworking from now on to earn more to welcome he/she next year. My appetite ran haywire, I felt the metallic taste, like how I felt when I had Kye Xin. No morning sickness, but the need to sleep early every night is there. And I had to wake up in the middle of the night to go toilet.
Kye Xin did not take this good news that much. One time she is telling me she is happy to have brother/sister. The next minute, she said she doesn't want, she kept asking where the baby is now, where baby will sleep next time, and she don't like the idea of sharing her belongings with the baby next time. I told hubby I will get her involved in each checkup from now on, to guide her through phases of my pregnancy, and hope to instil her interest to be a good sister next time. Smart girl of mine, she understand the process, ie. what I will do when I am in the clinic, and she will stand next to me, waiting for baby to appear in the TV. She will hold on to the printouts and tell me that baby is growing bigger each day.
Things started to get better right after I passed my 3 months mark. I craved for sour, hot & spicy, and seafood especially big prawns. However, my meals turn into smaller portions. Somewhere mid October, I had this very very bad gastric and I was on bread for 2 days, losing my 3kgs. Till the latest checkup, 1 Nov, my 3kgs had not gain back. Gynae advised me to eat more.
At present, I am in my Week 17. Expected EDD will be 15 April 2013. I pray that baby will be all well and healthy.
