My weekends seem to be busy and exciting. After the Port Dickson trip, on the following Friday, 4 June, I received a visit from Mummy and Jason, my brother. They were here to visit a lot of people, my family, Theng and children, Yee Woon, granny, Aunty Ivy and family, Uncle Patrick and family, Uncle Tommy and wife. Hmm, seems the theme for the weekend is FAMILY. Soon as they reached, we went to Theng’s in-law house to pick her and children over to my house.
I made ‘loh mai kai’ for dinner, with Oreo cheese cake for dessert. Very very simple meal, glad that I received A- compliment from Jason. This is my second time of loh mai kai, this time it is not that salty as before, but then I would have added more soya sauce to it. Hmm, I made about 12 of them. Cheese cake, also my second time, this round not bad I would say. To my family, though they are not a fan of cheese, they commented that it is still acceptable. THANK GOD!
Saturday was the family day for us. We went to Aunty Ivy’s house. Husband and I stayed there with Theng, Jason and our babies. Meanwhile Mummy and Yee Woon went to visit granny in the nursing home. She grew old and losing her energy to walk day by day. The only good point about granny, her brain memory is still 101%.
After the visit, we had a stop at Midvalley. Mummy was excited to see all the shops there, it turned out pretty hard for a big family to shop around. At times, we had to split a while, and Yee Woon took Mummy around. We had dinner at Manhattan Fish Market together with Uncle Tommy and wife.
The next morning, we woke up, took bath and settle the babies. Just before they go back, I asked hubby to take photos of us, especially Mummy with her three granddaughters.
After the photo session, we had lunch at Desa Setapak. We shopped around in Jusco Alpha Angle before sending Mummy and Jason back to the highway. They left at about 3.30pm.
Though a short trip, still I appreciate the time we had. I do miss Taiping and hoping to make a trip back this coming August 2010. The plan is there, let’s hope it will be successful.
