17 April, my company hosted an annual dinner for us. We are allowed to bring our spouse at no expense. I decided to go this year, but with one thing in mind, WHO'S GONNA TAKE CARE OF ANGEL? I approached my nanny and asked if she can take care of her. To my surprise, she said OK. And she suggested that I let Angel sleep overnight there. Hmmm. Even better!
On the day itself, at 2pm, nanny came to my house to pick her up. She was outside and dropped by on her way home. I treated myself to a haircut. Went to Fix Salon and this round Sam gave me a nice short haircut. I took the opportunity since it is the dinner today. I asked Sam to blow my hair and sprayed to make it nice for the event. After that, I went over next door and had a nice make-up. All set for the event that night.
I put on my previous evening gown and hmmm, I said to myself, this is the first time after my delivery that I dressed up for an event. And I am very happy!
We went to the event, it was raining. I am also worried that Angel might not get used to the place there. We had our dinner, it was far better than last year and I drank quite alot of red wine. Last year I was there but couldn't drink as I already had Angel with me in my womb.
Little did I know that I drank too much that I felt I was getting drunk already. At about 10.30pm, nanny rang me and said Angel didn't want to drink milk after 7pm. She must have know that by this time I already pick her back home. She advised me to take her home after my dinner. The minute I hear this, I went back to my seat and what happen next, I vomitted badly. No signal upfront, I also don't know that this is happening.
After that I sat there firmly on my seat till the end of the show. I tried hard to concentrate because I need to take Angel home. We waited till the grand lucky draw. No chance. Hubby then drove me back and picked up Angel. She was asleep, cried badly and felt tired. But the minute she reached home, she opened her big eyes and smiled cheerfully at us. She finished the whole bottle of milk and slept till 10am the next day.
I am glad that I did not hang over the next morning. I woke up, cleaned the house, cook lunch and spent time with Angel.
